Phil_Tania_Pearson Arriving first in line at 4.20pm on Tuesday, Phil Pearson worked as a team with wife Tania, continually holding their place in the line, the couple were swapping each day and night according to work and family commitments.

Mrs Pearson said they wanted one of two 19 metre frontages being released on the weekend, so they knew they had to get in early.

"Knowing buyers had camped out for previous releases, we were prepared to claim our land and start the queue ensuring we get the block we want.

"The home we want to build needs a large frontage and with just two 19 metre on offer, we knew we had to get in quick.

"Located so close to the freeway, just 20 minutes from the City and five minutes from the bay, Alamanda was the first choice for us in many ways. We actually have a boat so being close to the bay we finally have a place to berth it.

"We looked at another estate down the road, but Alamanda has a much better feel with its landscape design, variety of parks, wetlands and recreation facilities.

"We have two little children so the prep to year nine school earmarked for the site will be such a huge plus for us. You can already feel this will be very family orientated estate not only through the design, but since I have been camping out I have met a lot of young couples like us with young children who are moving here for many of the same reasons.

"The Villlawood team have done such an amazing job looking after us over the last couple of days. Continually providing food and coffee, they have even kept us warm in the marquee set up. I truly have to applaud Villawood for their terrific efforts in providing us with everything that we could possibly want."

“We were really looking for somewhere with a great community atmosphere and Alamanda is definitely that... so close to the Point Cook Town Centre and a variety of surrounding schools – we will have all that we need right at our doorstep.

“Our family will have a great time growing up here with all the different facilities on offer including the beautiful parks and playgrounds. I am personally looking forward to the gym at Club Alamanda.

“We’ve always wanted to build or own home and we felt the Alamanda was the perfect place for us to do so, we were looking for somewhere that offers a great community environment and Alamanda is definitely proving it’s the place to do that.

Chris_Freeman Auction winner, Chris Freeman said the homesite he wanted was the one on auction, so he had to go for it.

"We found the home site on a real estate website and it just so happened the one we had our eye on was the one up for auction.

"I live in Point Cook so I had seen Alamanda before. At about 6.30pm I dropped in and saw Joel to make sure the contract was ready to go and I was in fact pleased with everything the estate had to offer.

"From there I headed home, made my bids and luckily we won. I have used eBay before, so there was no real surprises there, it was just like any other auction.

"We have one son and another on the way, so the direct park access was huge in our decision. We are also of course drawn to the all the recreation facilities, especially the gym and pool," Mr Freeman said.
